Mood: waiting for wind
15th July 2007
Windsurfing: Eastbourne
Wind Direction: ENE
Wind Stength: F5 dropping ....
Surf / Sea State: whitecaps everywhere .... some
Air Temperature: warm
Sea Temperature: fine
Weather: back end of big thunder storm with lots of wind and some drizzle, brightening up
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Proper VFW hangover ... missed the holeshot, though didn't know it at the time.
Awoke to see wind, drizzle and people on the water on 5.5's and 95lts boards .... staggered about still half cut, rigged my 3S97 with 5.6m Remedy and got collared to organise the details regarding the Acutel Challenge race.
Rigged Rocket 125 and Remedy 6.4m to use in the challenge race, as wanted to be well powered up, but also felt that the wind was dropping.
Race started and wind died simultaneously .... so I floated approx 2 miles out and then back again, with young Dibley cooling me with refreshing shower as he did a drive by in the RIB. Then as I'm eventually within spitting distance of terra firma with some swell to use for forward motion, some great boat reverses towards me giving me nowhere to go ... they had seen me and we didn't interact.
Typical, all the mucking about and I'd missed a decent early port tack session on my favourite kit. Worse still, my hangover was really starting to take effect.
